Over the course of the past three months, we as a club and as a community have met with surrounding soccer communities concerning the plans for a Fall 2020 Soccer Season. This remains an ever changing scenario.
The State of Ohio has developed a system with the phases for play. Currently, as a state we are in Phase 2. This phase does not allow for games to be played amongst other outside teams. Phase 2 will only allow for practices amongst the same team. As a club and with respect for an already shortened season, we have remained in contact with our Salem League for Rec. and our YAYSL league for competitive concerning the plans should we not get to phase 3, as well as the plans should we stay in phase 2, and come up with an alternative so that the kids have an outlet this fall.
At this time we are still awaiting phase 3 to allow for us to schedule and begin our regular season for soccer. Please know that we as a club are doing everything within our power to have a season for our players. This may mean that the “typical” season will look a little different this year. We will pass along our plans in the coming weeks.
We do not have many answers as to what Phase 3 may look like for our club, but as the guidelines are put in place and Ohio progresses thru the phases, the kids health and safety will remain out first priority.
We appreciate the support and patience. Please keep watch for an update soon.
