YAYSL Info July 30

CALLOUTS:
  • YAYSL is working to move all materials and information to their new website, so please visit and provide feedback!  https://yaysl.gotsportsites.com/
  • All team matchups were created at random and it does NOT matter what order games are scheduled/played in (i.e., every match in the system needs assigned a date and location, but order is up to coaches).
  • Only HOME teams can schedule games in the system, so be sure to coordinate with coaches to get away games scheduled
  • If a community listed as “home” does not have an appropriate field for use, you can schedule the game AT your opponents fields and still maintain “home team” status from a rules perspective (just be sure to email Jessica Eberle, jeberle@ohio-soccer.org, as she will have to change your team as “away” in the system so that it can get scheduled)
  • Remember – U12 and under need to have at least 4 games scheduled by Sept 14th and U13+ need to have at least 4 games scheduled by Sept 20th
  • We are looking to have all games rescheduled within the system by Monday, August 4th at 9:00am
Schedule
  • The schedule is now live and can be found [HERE]
  • Families/Coaches/Communities are able to locate their teams by either clicking on the division and their team or click on the “Club” tab and you can select the community then the appropriate team to see your pairings
  • All games will be listed on December 31, 2025 until they have been rescheduled by the coaches

Coach Contact Information

  • If you click [HERE] you will see the help article from GotSport regarding reschedules and communication
  • All coach contact information can be found on the team page. Coaches will go to the team they are looking at communicating with and it will be available for them online. NOTE, not all communities have rostered staff to their teams so they will not appear to schedule those games.
Coaches Self-Scheduling within GotSport:
  • For any coach to be able to schedule within GotSport they MUST be risk management approved and on the event roster
  • If a coach does not have their risk approved or on the event roster, the schedule will not appear in their personal account for them to reschedule
  • For a coach to reschedule their games, follow the below instructions. You are also able to view a video of this process by clicking [HERE]
    • The coach will log into their personal account
    • From the main page, they will select “Team Scheduling”
    • A listing of all the teams they are rostered on will appear below
    • They will select the appropriate team from that list
    • A calendar will appear, and they will need to go to “December 2025” and click on December 31st, 2025 for the games to appear
      • NOTE: Only home games will be shown as they are only able to update the home games
    • After you have selected “December 31st, 2025” on the calendar, you can then move to the desired month and then from the below listing, drag and drop the game to that day
    • They will then click the date that the game was rescheduled to and they can “drag and drop” the game to the correct field and time
      • If coaches do not want to drag and drop, if they click the edit button they can enter the time and location
  • Any community that is looking to do a double header for their games, they will need to email Jessica Eberle so she can update the home/away teams so that they will be able to schedule the game within their profile.
